• Manage SQL*Plus environmentset - defines a system variable.  Example: set lines[ize] 100show - display system variable. Example: show pause. Use ‘show all’ to display all environment variables.

• Important variables: USER, ERR[ORS], SQLCODE, SPOOL, NUMWIDTH, TERMOUT, ECHO, MAXDATA, ARRAYSIZE
